Gopika survives a freak mishap

Gopika, a popular actress in Tamil and Malayalam filmdom, had a close shave when a giant wave engulfed her in the sea.
The incident happened when the actress was shooting for a Malayalam movie Santhu Pottu with actor Dileep at Azhapuzha.
A romantic song was being shot at the beach shores in Azhapuzha when a giant wave pulled Gopika inside the water.
She was immediately rescued and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she underwent immediate medication.
Speaking to media persons in the hospital, Gopika, said, "I Thank God for saving my life now. I don't know swimming. But when my director asked me to go near the sea and act, I couldn't refuse it".
Sometime professionalism has also its pitfalls.
