Gopika, even though a star actress in Malayalam, has never been able to make a screen appearance as heroine with Mohanlal.

Even after a few big hits with Mammootty and Dileep like Mayavi, Pothen Vava, Chandupottu and Pachakuthira, teaming up with Mohanlal remained a dream to accomplish for the actress.

In Keerthichakra, Gopika donned one of the characters, but was the heroine of Tamil actor Jeeva.

But now, Gopika is overwhelmed to see her in the cast list of the new Mohanlal starrer Alibhai.

The film scripted by T A Shahid will present Gopika for the first time in the female lead opposite Mohanlal.The film produced by Ashirwad cinemas will start by the mid of May and will grace the theatres by the next Onam.
