Gopika has bagged a bigger role of the heroine in the Tamil version of Udayanaanu Tharam.

Initially, the producer wanted to bring Trisha in for the role, but on her non availability the chance went to Gopika.

The actress who is reasonably busy with her roles in Malayalam, especially her first outing with Lal in Alibhai seems to be very happy to fetch such a good character which Meena has done in the original version in Malayalam, opposite Mohanlal.

The film has the Mozhi team of Prakash Raj and Prithviraj in the lead.
