Gopichand plays a doughty cop in bi-lingual

  • IndiaGlitz, [Thursday,April 19 2012]

Like Ram, Gopichand is acting in a Telugu-Tamil bi-lingual. Unlike Ram, he is not playing a thorough lover boy here. He is playing a duty-minded and upright police officer, and though Bhupati Pandian’s film starring the Mogudu star is essentially about a heroic cop, our hero does have a romantic side too.

Why would not he have, when the heroine is Nayanatara? Gopichand cannot ask for more. Besides a star as the heroine, the film has music by the very fashionable SS Thaman. The story was offered to Vikram, but since the Chiyan could not give dates to Tandra Ramesh (producer), the director approached our actor. This is how Vikram's loss became Gopichand's golden opportunity.

Kota Srinivasa Rao, Raghu Babu, Sayaji Shinde and Nasser are playing important roles. The film has dialogues by M Ratnam. Shakthi Saravanan is the cinematographer.
