While borrowing the remake films our producers have to think again. Whether the similar themes have come earlier or not is what they have to carefully observe. This one a remake of 'Murari' Telugu film has the similar theme of 'Kalisundam Raa' that was made in Kannada by Ravichandran as 'Ondagona Baa'. Otherwise it is old wine in old bottle told by new stars and the investment is sure to go to the drains.
The fear psychosis of the grandma of the house is that in the next completion of 48 years the grandson of third generation head would roll down. Reason - the sanctity of the temple has been disturbed around 96 years ago that has not been set right. While it is the most focal issue of grandma in the film there is two separated families over a tiff in the past (Ondagona Baa rehashed). The grandson Gopi comes forward to set right the disturbed condition of two houses and in the meanwhile he falls in love with Gowri (Gowri). When everything is alright the grandma comes on the scene and says this marriage is not possible. Her calculations are different. The commotion between the two families further blows up. The wish of grandmas is to reinstall the idol of the Goddess in a sacred way by Gopi. When the time is ticking for this auspicious day Gopi is hit from a sharp edge and he is oozing in blood. Still he manages to bring the idol to the proper place. The supernatural power is happy with such respect shown. It cools down from further damage to the generation.
This film offers nothing for Murali. He continues to pick usual rut kind of films. Gowri looks glorious. There is no scope for her acting yet. Around a dozen supporting artistes just come and go.
Kalyan scoring is very poor. The background music is the main villain in the film. The usual drum sound coming often shows how carelessly Kalyan has worked.
There is no challenge even for the photography. Director Mudduraj has copied a few hundred feet length of the original film 'Murari' and gives scope for a wrong practice.
You look out for better entertainment.
Scoring - 4/10
