Gopalapuranam
K K Haridas has been quite famous for some of the movies that offered great comedy stories like `Kinnaripuzhayoram', `Kalyanapittennu' and `Georgekutty C/O Georgekutty'. Continuing with his tradition of delivering quality comic stories, his new flick `Gopalapuranam' the seventeenth film from the director, is also a comedy riot.
The film presents Mukesh after a long time in a lead role. The versatile actor will get ample support from Tamil actor Ramana debuting in Malayalam. He pairs with debutant Suji Bala, for the film which tells a plot in the rural settings.
The film, as the title suggests is the story of Gopalakrishnan, the only son of the local milk man Gopalan. Eventhough Gopalakrishnan could not pursue his studies after his sixth standard, he is not even prepared to follow his father's footsteps. He hates to draw milk from the number of mammals in his home yard and is not even interested in supplying them to their clients. Instead he is in the lookout for making some easy money. He tries many, but fails in each attempt losing some capital. It was at this juncture, Goapalakrishan's sister Nandhinee got married to Vishnu, an interesting personality.
Gopalakrishnan in a short while become a big fan of Vishnu who introduces to his brother in law some peculiar ways to make easy money. Within no time Gopalakrishnan is ready to follow Vishnu in more ways than one. But the future had some different tracks to offer to both of them, which changes their life altogether.
Mukesh play the role of Vishnu while Ramana in his debut Malayalam appearance is Gopalakrishnan. The others in the cast include Rajan P Dev, Indrans, Jagannatha Varma, Tony, Kalashala Babu, Salim Kumar, Zakker Hussein and Thesny Khan.
Scripted by Vijay-Sasi, the film has few songs set to music by Younisyem and written by Sudhaamshu, M D Rajendran and S Remeshan Nair. Produced by C P Rafeeq and Zakheer Hussain in the banner of Sapco Creations, the movie will grace the theatres in a week's time.
