Using innovation and technology in the best means has always been Google's primary motto. Now the software giant will soon be serving the hurricane wrecked area of Puerto Rico in an innovative and an effective way as well. It has been two weeks since Hurricane Maria struck the island and the people are still without any communications. To help them, Google's parental company Alphabet is looking to deploy giant high altitude balloons that will beam signals across the territory, the signals will go up to 12 miles in order to connect rural residents too.
Similarly other technology companies like Facebook too are looking to help in setting up a connectivity team to restore communications. Billionaire Elon Musk has offered the government support by assisting in repair of the power grid with help of solar powered batteries. Hurricane Maria battered several islands in the west two weeks earlier with its strong 150mph winds also leaving behind almost 34 dead.
