The 2019 Malayalam film Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25, starring Suraj Venjaramoodu and Soubin Shahir, is one of the most beloved sci-fi comedy-dramas in recent times. Debutant director duo Sabari and Saravanan have now remade the film in Tamil. Titled Koogle Kuttappan.
Renowned actor, director and producer of the Kollywood Film Industry K.S. Ravikumar is playing the major lead role in the film and has also produced it under RK Celluloids along with Kallal Global Entertainment. The other cast includes Tharshan, Losliya and Yogi Babu. Though the official release date of the movie is yet to be announced it is expected to be released in 2022. Two singles from the film were released earlier. The first one titled Bomma Bomma premiered on December 25, 2021 and it has lyrics by Arivu, who has also sung the song along with Sivaangi Krishnakumar.
The second single titled Alai Alai premiered on January 21, 2022 and the lyrics of the song were written by Madhan Karky and was sung by G.V. Prakash Kumar and Deepthi Suresh. The trailer of this much-anticipated movie was released by actor Silambarasan.
