Several Android apps deemed harmful have been banned by Google and Play Store as part of their new "anti-disruptive ads policy". Unsolicited ads, ads that let unsuspecting users do inadvertent clicking, etc. have been sought to be curbed as per the new policy.

As reported by Buzzfeed News NEW, "Google has banned almost 600 apps and their developers for pushing disruptive ads. The apps were downloaded roughly 4.5 BILLION times."

Catalin Cimpanu said, "Google has developed a new machine-learning technique for spotting out-of-app ads. Google also plans to modify the Android OS to give users protection against out-of-app ads."
