Fans of 'Golmaal' series would now have to wait for a while before they get to see the next in the series. Rohit Shetty is taking a break from churning out another 'Golmaal' and would be beginning work on it only in 2013.

"That's a conscious call which has been taken by Rohit here," says a friend of the director who is enjoying an enviable success rate with multiple successful films against his name, "He wants a considerable gap to come this time around so that people wait for it in anticipation of yet another laugh riot in the offing."

This would be the first time when there would be a gap of at least three years between two 'Golmaal' films. After the unexpected success of 'Golmaal' (2006), the makers had released it's sequel 'Golmaal Returns' (2008) which was a good success. However the franchise broke the ceiling with 'Golmaal 3' (2010) turning out to be the biggest money spinner ever in comic genre.

"Naturally everyone associated with 'Golmaal' want to set new benchmarks now," continues the friend, "The idea is to create such reasonable gap that people attack the film when it releases."

On contacted, Tusshar Kapoor, who is one of the biggest beneficiary of 'Golmaal', sounds fine with the idea of a break before the next arrives. He says, "In any case I have heard that Rohit is quite busy with 'Singham' right now. Then there are other films planned for him over next one year as well. If work begins on 'Golmaal 4' soon, it may just result in monotony and tiredness setting in. No one wants that."

With Rohit Shetty all set to work on remake of 'Angoor' (with Shahrukh Khan) and 'Bol Bachchan' (Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan) after 'Singham', guess 'Golmaal 4' would indeed have to wait for a little longer than desired.
