Golconda Fort Light and Dance Show: Mega Star Chiranjeevi over the moon

An immersive and technologically advanced 3D mapping projection, featuring high-resolution projectors, laser lights, and moving heads, has been seamlessly integrated into the new light and sound show at Golconda Fort. The inauguration of this captivating experience was carried out by Union Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Development of Northeast Region, G. Kishan Reddy, on Wednesday.
Hosted by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Hyderabad Circle, the Sound and Light Show and Facade Illumination at Golconda Fort will be enchanting visitors from 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM on January 24, 2024. Renowned figures such as former Union Minister and Padma Bhushan awardee, Chiranjeevi, and eminent writer and Rajya Sabha Member, Vijayendra Prasad, graced the event as Guests of Honour.
Chiranjeevi speaking at the event said that entire world is looking at the Indian film industry and Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli is coming up with international level films. He added that visuals will tell many stories which thousands of words cannot. He added that it is commendable that the Government has taken up the initiative for the light and dance show in a colorful manner to elevate the historical significance in the hearts of the future generations. He said during his stint as the Union Tourism Minister he placed AP as the No 1 in Tourism.
Vijayendra Prasad said that Golconda should become famous internationally and pointed out that Sri Ramadasu sang many songs singing praises of Lord Ram and the Lord Ram himself came to free his devotee from the prison of Golconda King Tanisha. He added that when Babar demolished Ayodhya Ram Mandir,Lord Ram was left without even a temple for more than 700years. He questioned can Lord Ram who is extremely powerful cannot build a temple of his own, and added that he gave the opportunity to his devotees.
The Indian Oil Foundation played a pivotal role in orchestrating the design, funding, and installation of this mesmerizing Sound and Light Show, complemented by Facade Illumination. This immersive presentation aims to vividly depict the rich history and contributions of Golconda Fort, offering visitors an unforgettable experience and lasting memories.
The historical Golconda Fort, equipped with modern amenities, is embracing contemporary technology to replace its 30-year-old light show. The central government's initiative, geared towards boosting tourism, brings forth a state-of-the-art sound and light show that enhances the fort's allure at night while narrating its history in a captivating manner.
The 11th-century Golconda Fort, which had a light and sound show installed in 1993, is now ushering in the latest technology to replace the outdated display. Lasting for 30 minutes and 20 seconds, the multilingual light show in Telugu, Hindi, and English utilizes advanced features like 3D mapping projection, high-resolution projectors, laser lights, and moving heads to intricately showcase the historical narrative of Golconda.
