Japanese actor Haruo Nakajima, who wore the Godzilla` suit and terrified and endeared audiences, has passed away at the age of 88. He donned the iconic role from 1954`s Godzilla, King of the Monsters`, till the 1972 movie Godzilla vs. Gigan`. Apart from his famous role he has also acted in films like Akira Kurosawa`s classic Seven Samurai`.

Haruo Nakajima shared in a recent interview that those days there were no computer graphics or light weight rubber material and he had to wear his Godzilla` suit made of ready-mixed concrete and he mimicked the movements of animals to get the gait of the monster right. The Godzilla` movies are still popular and atleast three films are in the making to release in the next few years but Haruo Nakajima will always be remembered as the first. RIP!
