As Godse, the titular character, Satyadev Kancharana shows no mercy. He tells MLAs, MPs and Ministers that they have no eligibility to be at the helm by the virtue of them lying in their very election affidavits.
Director Gopiganesh Pattabhi has handled the dexterous, socially-aware and politically explosive subject with passion, it seems from Godse’s trailer. Aishwarya Lekshmi plays a physically fit and emotionally vulnerable investigator who wonders if Godse is psychologically stable, given how much he revels in vigilante violence.
When the movie hits the screens on June 17, we will know whether Godse’s fight is narrow or wide-ranging. He doesn’t seem to be against only financial scams and corruption but something more. He is highly educated, as his semi-urbane looks suggest.
The vigilante actioner has Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Naga Babu Konidela, Sijju Menon, Varghese, and Prudhvi Raj in different roles. Produced by C Kalyan of CK Screens, ‘Godse’ also features Noel Sean, Priyadarshi, Chaitanya Krishna, Pawan Santhosh, and Guru Charan. Sunil Kashyap and Suresh S have composed the music and cranked the camera, respectively.
