Mohan Raja the man with the magic touch has been churning out back to back super hits throughout his career spanning more than two decades. The tag of remake king stuck to him until he proved his detractors wrong by making 'Thani Oruvan' starring his brother Jayam Ravi, Nayanthara and Arvind Swamy with an original script.
The ace director known for his highly entertaining films with strong family values returned to Telugu cinema with 'Godfather' starring Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara. The film opened to unanimously positive reviews on October 5th and the box office has been tingling nonstop.
According to industry sources 'Godfather' jointly produced by Konidela Productions and Super Good films raked in a staggering 38 Crores worldwide on its opening day and is poised to race to the 100 Crore mark within matter of days. Chiranjeevi who was not in a happy zone as a superstar after delivering the average 'Sye Narasimha Reddy' and the disasterous flop 'Acharya' is back as the boss of Telugu cinema.
'Godfather' is the official remake of the all time Malayalam blockbuster hit 'Lucifer' starring Mohan Lal and directed by Prithviraj. However critics are praising Mohan Raja's exceptional work in making the story and screenplay his own and stamping his own style on it. Now Tamil fans who have not seen his movies for the past five years since 'Velaikkaran' cant wait his for his magic to unfold on Tamil screens.
