Megastar Chiranjeevi's 153rd film, which is evocatively titled 'Godfather', is now being shot in Ooty. Chiru, who recently graced a pre-release event, has got into work mode.
Helmed by Mohan Raja and produced on a vast scale by Konidela Productions and Super Good Films, the action-packed entertainer is a remake of 'Lucifer' (Malayalam). "We shot the first schedule in Hyderabad in August. A high-octane action sequence was shot in that schedule," the makers informed.
An actioner with political elements, the ongoing Ooty schedule is about talkie portions involving the 'Acharya' actor and other members of the cast.
SS Thaman and lensman Nirav Shah are on board. Suresh Selvarajan is its art director. Written and directed by Mohan Raja, the film is produced by RB Choudary and NV Prasad.
Meanwhile, the release date of 'Acharya' is yet to be declared. The other day, Chiru suggested that key issues related to ticket pricing and the number of shows in Andhra Pradesh would have to be resolved before the date is announced. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film has Ram Charan in a key role. Kajal Aggarwal and Pooja Hegde are its heroines.
