Model and TV actress Shweta Tiwari, who hails from Mumbai, has reportedly made offensive comments mentioning the words 'Bhagawan' and 'Bra' in the same sentence. On Thursday, the less-known starlet said, "God is taking the measurements for my bra." That was in connection with an actor, who has played Lord Krishna in a TV serial, playing a bra-fitter in her next show.

The comments have drawn the ire of many Netizens, who are asking her to apologize. In the meantime, an FIR was lodged against her on the grounds that she has allegedly hurt religious sentiments. The FIR was filed under Section 295(A) of the IPC in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

After the outrage, Shweta has sincerely tendered her apology. She made it clear that she didn't mean to refer to the actual God by saying 'Bhagawan'. "My remark has been completely misconstrued which is saddening to see. As someone who has been a staunch believer of ‘Bhagwan’ myself, there is no way that I would intentionally or unintentionally say or do any such thing that would hurt sentiments by and large," she said, humbly tendering her apology.
