Despite 'Shiva', it was not easy for Ram Gopal Varma to convince Nagarjuna when he wanted to do a film with the actor.

Unlike RGV, Nag has been in touch with the tastes of Telugu audiences. And so, when Ramu came to him with a script, he could sense that it was not good enough. The 'Raju Gari Gadhi-2' actor then advised him to go back to the drawing room and re-write it.

In fact, like a friend and a boss rolled into one, Nag told the director not to spread himself thin while he is at it. The actor told RGV rather upfront that he wouldn't want to team up with him if he were also working on other films. That was the clincher.

There he was. RGV saw the writing on the wall. Giving up other projects, he worked on the script all over again. And this time, Nag would fall in love. Their film will hit the screens in April 2018.
