MDMK leader Vaiko has launched his black flag demonstration movement in Kaval Kinaru, the border of Tirunelveli - Kanyakumari, opposing the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There have been widespread protests and movements against PM Modi that Tamil Nadu has not been given the right focus by the central government.
Last time, when Modi had arrived at Tirupur, black flag demonstration was conducted. Today, Modi is arriving to Kanyakumari for the inauguration of 40,000 crores worth projects, and it was announced by Vaiko already that the black flag demonstration will be done upon his arrival.
As said, today he assembled his party members and followers at Kava Kinaru in Kanyakumari, and started the protest against Modi. In the presence of the followers he started listing out the betrayals done by BJP to Tamil Nadu, and the party members started shouting "Go Back Modi" slogans. Following this, police forces were deployed to prevent Vaiko from entering Kanyakumari, and tension prevails in the locality.
