KE Gnanavel Raja is one of the leading producers in the southern film space. His latest venture is Allu Arjun’s ‘En Per Surya . .En veedu India’ which is set to release in four languages namely Kannada, Tamil ,Telugu and Malayalam.
Gnanavel Raja, speaking to the press noted how Telugu industry is much more profitable. “If a film’s budget is 100 crores, actors receive about 10 to 15 cr, but down here actors receive 50cr for a 100 cr budget and how to give grandeur in the project,” he asked.
In addition to that he stated that it was enough if you give just 50 lakhs as advance, but here actors ask about 10 crores which makes it a difficult situation for the producers.
“The salary of the actors must be reduced and a committee must be formed to regularise it. I hope that Vishal who heads the Nadigar Sangam and the producers council will take care of this. If a resolution is not brought around I will go to Telugu industry to make films there. I have even bought an office there. Because it makes sense to make movies with profit ratherthan the opposite,” Gnanavel Raja said.
