Director Ameer and producer Gnanavel Raja have been quarrelling over the 'Paruthiveeran' movie for a long time. The dispute heated up again a few months ago. Then, Ameer was caught up in a controversy as the producer of his film 'Iraivan Miga Periyavan' was arrested in a drug racket case.
Now, Gnanavel Raja's father has filed a defamation suit against Ameer. It seems that the director said some controversial things about Gnanavel's father, Mr VK Eswaran. This has echoed in Eswaran filing a case against Ameer. A legal notice has been sent to Ameer on behalf of Eswaran. This has caused a stir.
The notice says that both Eswaran and Gnanavel Raja are deeply hurt by Ameer's defamatory comments. They have initiated civil and criminal proceedings against Ameer and seeking compensation of Rs 10 crore. We have to wait for a response from the filmmaker's side. It is worth mentioning that Ameer's name is still involved in the drug racket case.
