'GM' for Shivu's birthday

'Gandana Mane' (GM) is slated for release on superstar Shivarajkumar's birthday on July 12. Wearing Khaki uniform superstar Shivarajkumar faced the maiden shot for 'Gandana Mane' (house of husband) and sat before the media at the lush green lawns of Kanteerava studios. His younger brother Puneeth sounded the clapboard while popular star Sudeep switched on the camera for the muhurut shot. I am playing MIG role. This will be very near to the hearts of commoners. I remembered my college days in Chennai going in city bus with just Rs.5 in my pocket said the humble and simple Shivarajkumar. There is a proverb in Kannada  'Hasige Iddasthu Kalu Chachu' (you have to stretch your feet according to the length of the bed). 'Gandana Mane' has story, screenplay and dialogue by century old script writer in Kannada films B.A.Madhu. This is the 28th directorial venture of S.Mahender. He is known for touching films to the family audience. This is the dream of producer R.S.Gowda and writer B.A.Madhu I am bringing it on screen as director said Mahender. The heroine of this film is Gowri (who appeared in Namma Basava and Gopi). She plays the role of a rich girl who accustom to the ordinary middle class life in the film informed Mahender. V.Manohar is scoring the music. He has given hits in Shivarajkumar films like Janumadha Jodi and Jodi Hakki. He is scoring six songs for this film. One of the six songs Karunada Kannadiga Sirinada Manna Maga Vandhisuve Naa Nimma Preethige.. was played at the muhurut.
