Stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan shared the dance floor as Sushmita Sen warbled a song at a glittering function here to mark 100 episodes of Simi Garewal's celebrity talk show.

The gathering Saturday night at the Land's End in Mumbai's Taj hotel wasn't just an august gathering - it was awesome and unprecedented.

It would be easier to name who among the 100 invitees didn't turn up for the swankiest and most stunning 'do' in Mumbai, than those who did to celebrate the century of "Rendezvous With Simi Garewal".

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, shooting tense scenes for his under production film "Black," made only a brief appearance. Notable absentees were Aishwarya Rai, Waheeda Rehman and Dev Anand.

The fabulous Rehman couldn't get away from Bangalore due to a nasty legal problem.

But when the video monitor playing the memorable episodes of "Rendezvous..." showed Waheeda in the memorable song "Waqt ne kiya kya haseen situm," all the invitees burst into spontaneous applause.

The candid moments from "Rendezvous..." had the invitees rocking with laughter.

Another highlight of the party was the special song that Garewal had written for the occasion and in which every guest's name appeared.

The menu for the evening had dishes named after each guest, including Rekha's chocolate mousse.

Dev Anand sent a note saying he had a root canal surgery done and was unable to attend. But those who attended had themselves a ball.

The Bachchans, who had earlier during the evening attended close friend Tina Ambani's magazine-launch party in a different part of the city, came straight to Simi's grand and elegant event.

Father and son clapped and cheered as Sen took the floor to sing the George Michael hit "Sacrifice". The indefatigable Amitabh Bachchan even crooned a few notes with the unstoppable Sen.

Sen's little daughter Renee was clearly one of the star attractions at the party. She was seen cuddling up to Hrithik and Abhishek, both hot favorites among kids.

Then, there was the ever-elusive Rekha, clearly the cynosure of all eyes, and Rishi Kapoor who took to the floor and shook a leg vigorously to the tune of his evergreen dance number "Om shanti om".

Dancing was clearly what the star-turnout enjoyed the most that evening. Everyone hit the floor and stayed there till the very end.
