A press report read that GK Media has acquired the theatrical rights of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's film, 'Velayudham' in USA.

The film will portray drastic changes in Vijay's character as it progresses. While Vijay is introduced to the audiences initially as a simple villager who is a milkman, his visiting Chennai changes it all for him as he dons the role of a superhero to eradicate corruption in the city and put an end to the baddies.

Director Jayam Raja has expressed that the film will be family entertainer and also be different from earlier vigilante hits in Tamil cinema like 'Indian' and 'Anniyan', as 'Velayudham' has a whole-new approach to the script.

'Velayudham' that boasts off a huge budget stars Vijay, Hansika Motwani and Genelia in the lead roles with music by Vijay Antony. The film has a number of comedians including Santhanam. Stunts are choreographed by Tom Delmar from Hollywood and Stunt Silva and there's a train fight sequence scene in the film which is much-expected.

In USA, the ticket price for the film is only 10$, also, kids who are below 12 years of age get to watch the film for free! This is applicable to all Big Cinemas locations whereas in some centers restrictions might apply. Please check with your local exhibitor for other details.
