Girlfriend made to tie Rakhi, boy jumps off from building

It's not uncommon to find that in colleges, lecturers/elders force mischievous male students to be tied a Rakhi by the girls they have been notoriously wooing on the Raksha Bandhan. When something similar took place at a school in Tripura's Agartala, it resulted in a terrible consequence.
An 18-year old student named Dilip Kumar Saha was made to get a Rakhi tied by his alleged girlfriend (a fellow student) by his teachers and parents of the two students.
But what those who oversaw the girlfriend-became-sister 'ceremony' didn't foresee is what a frustrated Dilip would do after this. After being forced to get a Rakhi tied, Dilip went to the top of the building and jumped off. He has sustained major injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
Protests have taken place in front of the school building.
