Shahna, a young Keralite girl, is winning the internet after she chose to go against her parents' will and marry a paralysed man Pranav, whom she met on social media. The couple tied the nuptial knot on Tuesday. The pictures and videos of the adorable couple are viral on social media.
Pranav, who hails from Irinjalakkuda, got paralysed from the waist down in a road accident six years back when he was in college. Since then, Pranav is confined to a wheelchair and is dependent on others for basic needs. Pranav is an avid social media user and often posts videos of him enjoying local temple festivals in his wheelchair.
While netizens, cheered him for his positivity about life, one of the videos grabbed the attention of Shahna, who tried every possible way to reach him out. Three months ago, Shahna, was moved by the plight of the youngster, found Pranav's phone number from Facebook and rang up to him. After talking over the phone for a couple of days, Shahna soon expressed her love for him and conveyed her desire to marry. Pranav, his relatives, and friends persuaded her to change her decision. Shahna's family also strongly objected to the relationship.
But Shahna was firm on her decision and left her house to meet Pranav in person. Pranav's family, who were not happy with Shahna's actions, tried to convince her and also made her meet Pranav and see his condition for herself to understand reality. But Shahna's unconditional love for Pranav flourished even more after seeing him in person. The very next day, the couple tied the not at a temple in Kodungalloor, with the blessings of Pranav's parents, friends and relatives, and of course wellwishers from social media.
