Actress Mumtaj is known for playing Pawan Kalyan's wannabe girlfriend in 'Kushi'. She also shook a leg with Power Star in 'Attarintiki Daredi' many years later. The multi-lingual actress recently returned to the limelight by participating in Bigg Boss' second season (Tamil), which is hosted by Kamal Haasan.

The news is that Mumtaz is in trouble over an alleged offence. The senior artist, who lives in Chennai's Anna Nagar with her family members, has been accused of harassment by her domestic servant, whose name has been withheld.

The police department today stated that cops had received a call from a minor girl informing them about her and her sister working in the actress's house for the past six years. The complainant alleged that they no longer like to continue working and want to go back to their hometown in Uttar Pradesh. This has not been to the liking of Mumtaz, allegedly.

The cops rushed to the Mumtaz's residence and took custody of the sisters. The purported victims were later placed in a government facility meant for the rehabilitation of children.

As per reports emerging from Chennai, the Child Welfare Department is looking into the matter to ascertain if the girls were subjected to any mental or physical harm as claimed.
