1. Appadi Podu (Gilli): This highly energetic and fast-paced song composed by Vidyasagar, seems to have recreated GeminiÂs ÂO Podu magic as it continues to rule the roost at the top of the charts. VijayÂs and TrishaÂs immensely enjoyable gyrations may have also contributed to this songÂs success.
2. Sanda Kozhi (Ayutha Ezhuthu): A. R. RahmanÂs magic seems to have worked here as well. This is one of AEÂs most melodious tracks and seems to be all over the television and radio channels, not to mention hundreds of tape-players. The song makes it to Number 2 in this countdown.
3. Ambuli Mama (Perazhagan): Yuvan Shankar Raja appears to have struck a rich vein in recent times, with quite of a few of his new releases being packed with eminently hummable tunes. ÂAmbuli Mama seems to have caught everybodyÂs fancy..
4. Oddiyaana (Arul): Just as ÂArul did not make waves in the box office, its music hasnÂt set the charts afire either. However, one of ArulÂs tracks, ÂOddiyaanaÂ, is rather enjoyable, though it sounds very different from Harris JayarajÂs usual compositions.
5. Manasukkulle Dhagam (Autograph): The film, directed by Cheran and with music composed by Bharadwaj, has been this yearÂs surprise hit. Even its slow, melodious music seems to have become popular. The song continues to stay in the Top Five
