GHMC elections: Key facts about candidates, poll preparation

The GHMC elections are scheduled to be held on December 1. Ahead of the Tuesday polls, the police department and the State Election Commission have put in place all arrangements.
As many as 74,44,260 voters are registered. There are 150 wards and about 1,122 candidates are in the race. TRS (150), BJP (149), Congress (146), TDP (106), MIM (51), CPI (17), CPM (12), Independents (415).
Sixty flying squads and 30 static surveillance teams are in place. As many as 48,000 polling personnel have been deployed. Micro observers are 1729 in number, while webcasting stations are 2277 in number. Mock polling will be held from 6am to 6:15am.
Covid-positive patients who haven't been able to vote through the postal ballot will have a separate line at stations. About 1752 hypersensitive, 2934 sensitive nad 4415 normal polling centres have been assigned. In all, there are 2909 polling locations. Of these, 450 are hypersensitive, while 921 are sensitive.
In all, 52,500 policemen have been deployed for bandobast.
