A special screening of 'Ghazi' was held for the Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu today in Hyderabad. Speaking about the film, he said that it arouses patriotic feelings in the audience. "This film is a good lesson for the Indian youth. It's an inspiring take on the battle of 1971. Although I was a student in Vizag, I myself didn't clearly know about the submarine battle involving PNS Ghazi. 'Ghazi' depicts the battle very well. There is a need to encourage films like this one," he said.
Naidu also said that the statements of the former Home Minister P Chidambaram with respect to the Kashmir issue are "objectionable". "It's wrong to create divisions in the name of caste, religion and ethnicity," the BJP stalwart further said.
He described the racist attacks happening in the US as shameful. "It's up to that country's leadership and civil society to address the questions raised by (late) Srinivas Kuchibotla's wife," Naidu said.
