It is not the regular Malashri film but some captivating moments in the second half makes this interesting. The film `Gharshane' looks like one of the several episodes of `CID' telecast in Sony Television is tolerable for many intriguing moments and some passable dialogues from Shyamprasad. This is a new attempt for Dayal Padmanabhan but he has not given up his shrewd nature in him in his screenplay. Although the film is said to be a remake of Cheran `Yutham Sei' the credit for the story goes to the team of `Gharshane'. The mixing up of sentiments and crime is the hall mark of this film. The cop in service for last nine years Netra is entrusted a sensational case for investigation. This is around the time her sister is missing. Two tasks ahead for Netra it is not easy going. The soft corner towards sister and safety of her also acquires importance for Netra. The investigating team headed by Netra unearths the criminals in the department and one of the big clues she gets is from the mortuary head played by Ashish Vidyarthi. A flashback opens up at this stage and that explains the trials and tribulations in the life of a professor. The sad end of professor daughter changes the mindset in the family. That is that you have to watch in the theatres in the second half. Netra is successful in her twin attempts of rounding the culprits and safely getting her sister in the climax. Dayal Padmanabhan is not quick in action. The sentiment issue mixed to this film diluted the thrill. He should watch CID on Sony for more interesting elements to add for his future films. `Paapa Vinashini alla Paapigala Vinashini, Moole Ruchi Nodiro Nayige Yavudadrenu.and a few others from coming from journalist Shyamprasad for the film is absorbing. The song Olage Seridare Gundu..is well adjusted and Malashri looks like Saroj Khan in the dance with group. This film `Gharshane' could have been completely different one for Malashri. The deletion of action - that too hitting from her hands is outdated. As investigating cop there are other measures that Malashri could sail through in her coming films. Roopika plum sister of Malashri is a good choice. Ashish Vidyarthi steals the show as supporting actor. Nayana is impressive. Kashi is back after a long time in a small role. The background score for `Gharshane' is nothing but `Gharjane'. The cinematography Rajesh Kata is quite OK. Worth watching once! Score - 6/10
