If there is one socio-political movement that has so much inspired film writers and directors in Tollywood, it is the ongoing agitation for separate statehood to Telangana. Following some T movies in the past, three more such flicks will see releases in this month.

First, R Narayana Murthy's film Poru Telangana tops the chart. It was praised by the political protagonist of the T-movement, K Chandrasekhar Rao, who said that the film is one hundred times better than N Shankar's Jai Bolo Telangana. The film has got no elements like love, unlike the Shankar film. "The film is all about the movement," KCR remarked. It will release on September 16.

Jai Telangana will release on the next day. The movie stars Rasamai Balakishan, a notable journalist, who plays himself in the movie. Again, the movie lungs for separate statehood to the region.

Masade Lakshminarayana's Inkennallu is about the sacrifices made by innumerable youths for the sake of Telangana over three generations. Much has been written about the politicians and leaders who lead the movement, but ordinary people's sacrifices are often forgotten or go unsung. The film is a tribute to them. This is what Rafi, its director, said emotionally.

Only time will tell which of these three films emerges the clear winner.
