Post Urumi (2011), Genelia D'Souza is happy with the slow image makeover. The actress, who was seen in the Santosh Sivan magnum opus in the role of a warrior princess, feels that the film helped her break the stereotypes of her image.
From Boys, Sye, Happy and Bommarillu to the recent Orange, all films reinforced Genelia's image as a sprightly girl. She was always seen as an actress who had no ability to excel in serious roles. Urumi has changed things for her.
Going by her own confessions, the actress is quite at peace with the image makeover. She is also looking forward to re-interpret the role of Hasini in the Hindi version of Bommarillu.
But before that, she will be adjudged by the audience in Force, an adaptation of Gautham Menon's Kaka Kaka (Gharshana in Telugu), where she is playing Maya (originally played by Jyothika in Tamil and subsequently by Asin in Telugu).
