The Kannada film ‘Koffi Shop’ of Blue Fox Limited Geetha Krishna film has been freed with a court verdict. For withholding the publicity of his film in newspapers producer cum director Geetha Krishna brought injunction order and with that there is no interference for his film from anyone. The further hearing of the case has been fixed to April 15.

The case filed against KFCC for passing such orders for the newspapers not to publish ‘Koffi Shop’ advertisements director Geetha Krishna took this extreme step.

On Monday morning addressing the media at Chetan International Hotel director cum producer Geetha Krishna explained the reason for such move by the KFCC. According to someone it is stated that my film is a dubbed version from Telugu but it is not true. I have done the shooting in Karnataka, post production work has happened only in Karnataka. ‘Koffi Shop’ is made simultaneously in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. The artists are common I agree. But that does not mean the Kannada version is a dubbed one says Geetha Krishna.

I am ready for the scrutiny and I will place before the media soon informed Geetha Krishna supporting his stand. Meanwhile there is a committee in the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce that is looking into the case of dubbed films. There are five films before the committee and ‘Koffi Shop’ is also suspected as a dubbed film.

Although there is no rule according to the constitution the dubbing of films to Kannada is a self imposed regulation in Karnataka. Since 45 years this rule is in existence. This has been even welcomed by various film industries. In the television sector also dubbing is not permitted in Karnataka.
