Geetha is to play Vijay's mother

Yesteryear actress Geetha, a prominent face in many K Balachander films is all set to venture back into Kollywood again.
Though not exactly out of films, Geetha was more seen in Telugu and Kannada films. As far as Tamil goes, the actress was last seen in Kalki and some television serials.
Now, director Perarasu has brought the actress back to play a important role in his next movie Sivakasi.
Geetha is to play Vijay's mother in the movie and actress Sridevika would act as Vijay's sister in the movie.
Produced by A M Rathnam's Sri Surya Movies, the shooting for Sivakasi is currently on at Prasad Studios where a mega set of T Nagar Ranganathan Street has been erected at a cost of Rs 1.20 crore.
Sivakasi will be released this Deepavali.
Geetha is becoming the lucky mascot playing the mother to heroes in films. She did that in the film NVNV in Telugu and that movie is perhaps the hit of the year.
So Vijay, who 'imports' things from Telugu quickly, has perhaps gone for Geetha to play his mother.
