The veteran actress Geetha has returned to Kannada cinema after a long gap. She is in March 22` a film by Kodlu Ramakrishna with Ananthnag as co star. This pair of Ananth and Geetha given a few hits in the past.

The second film recently Geetha accepted is the role of a Mannina Magalu`. Holding the tools to till the land, Geetha appeared for shoot and looked typical village woman working in the fields.

Geetha comes in a special role in this G Umesh directorial venture. Umesh had directed Navarangi, Vinashini in the past. Halli Panchayati` has village politics with Thithi` actors Gaddappa and Century Gowda in prominent roles. The film shoot was held in a few villages of Mandya district the heart of sugarcane.

Prema Yuvaraju has penned story, screenplay and also produced this film. AC Mahendran wields camera, Hari Kavya scores music, Mohan L Rangakahale editing, veteran Pro Doddarange Gowda written lyrics for this film. Nagendra Aradhya written dialogues, Suresh directed dance.

Abhi, Meghana Gowda, Bow Bow Jayaram, Vaishnavi, Prema Yuvaraju, Master Bhargava are also in the cast of this Halli Panchayati`.
