'Fidaa' last year created history when it got a share of Rs. 47 Cr (a bit more than that). For a rom-com to do that, it was phenomenal.
Now, 'Geetha Govindam' is almost on the verge of trumping the Sekhar Kammula directorial. If anything, it's going to do it with ease. On its 8th day, the Vijay Deverakonda-Rashmika Mandanna film reportedly earned a share of about Rs. 4 Cr. This is highly commendable, as any box-office observer will tell you.
As of the end of Wednesday, the film's share is upwards of Rs. 42.50 Cr. The rom-com is billed to get into the half-a-billion rupee club in due course of time.
In the US, it has become the biggest Deverakonda film (at USD 1.78 million), crossing Arjun Reddy's USD 1.77 million (gross).
