‘Geetha Govindam’ censor done, release date sealed

Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Geetha Govindam’ is hitting the screens on August 15, GA2 Pictures’ Allu Aravind has announced.  It has been certified with U/A.  

Directed by Parusuram and starring Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, ‘GG’ has music by Gopi Sundar, whose ‘Inkem Inkem’ song has clocked 35 million views.  “We are very happy with the response to the audio album, which has got 1.4 million views,” the makers say.

Allu Aravind says that Deverakonda’s look and characterization in the movie are going to be a hit.  “He has done his work passionately.  This is a pucca family entertainer,” he says.

Director Parusuram (Bujji) says, “The film presents Deverakonda in exactly the same you want to see him after a film like ‘Arjun Reddy’.”

Produced by Bunny Vas, the film has no competitor at the box-office this I-Day.
