It has been rumoured that Allu Aravind's Geetha Arts would be remaking 'Mersal' with a top Telugu hero. There is no truth in the same.
The news has been denied officially by the makers of the Tamil film. As is known, Sharrath Marar of Northstar is going to release the Telugu version, 'Adirindhi', very soon.
Screenplayed by K Vijayendra Prasad, its story (written by Atlee) is inspired by Kamal Haasan-starrer 'Vichithra Sodarulu'. Vijay is playing three roles, while Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menon are the heroines.
The film also has a message regarding why doctors should treat poor patients for free. "The scene where the hero outrages over hospitals reflects the reality. It's true that corporate doctors are commercial. How can the common man, who is burdened with unaffordable healthcare, survive this? If you go to them with a headache, they extract thousands by putting you through 20 tests," Vijayendra Prasad recently said.
Music-directed by AR Rahman, it has the cinematography by GK Vishnu. SJ Suryah will be seen in a key role after 'SPYder'.
