'Geeta Sakshigaa', the hard-hitting investigative procedural and courtroom drama, is going to hit the screens on March 22. Actor Aadarsh, the male lead, pairs up with Chitra Sukla, the heroine.
A song titled 'Evaru Nuvvu' from the movie was unveiled today. Written by Rehman and rendered by Vijay Yesudas, it has been composed by Gopi Sundar. The singer's rendition is earnest and pathos-inducing.
Writer-director Anthony Mattipalli conceives the song as an anthem to inspire men to shed their bestial attitudes towards women. Sensational gangrape cases, campaigns against whom have been televised in recent years, are alluded to in the lyrical video. "Real men don't rape" and "Death to rapists" are seen on the placards held by women protesting rapes.
The film also features Roopesh Shetty, Srikanth Iyengar (as a lawyer), Bharani Shankar, Jayalalitha, Jayashree S Rajesh, Anitha Chowdary, Sudarshan, and Raja Ravindra. Its story has been written by Chetan Raj (who is also producing the film).
