Recently, popular cinematographer PC Sreeram announced via Twitter that he will be joining hands with director Gautham Vasudev Menon for a web series which will be streaming on Amazon prime video platform and that it'll begin shooting after the lockdown.

We had revealed that the web series has been titled Mathakkam, which means the towering head of a war elephant, and that this series will be a crime drama involving a cop vs gangster cat and mouse chase.

Now the latest update on Mathakkam is that this series will have Gautham Vasudev Menon playing the lead and will be directed by Prasath Murugesan. Prasath Murugesan had directed Kidari with Sasikumar and had recently co-directed the Ramya Krishnan starrer series Queen with Gautham Vasudev Menon.
