Before 11 years on this day, Samantha had made her debut in Telugu with the movie Ye Maya Chesave, the Telugu version of Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vinnaithaandi varuvaya where Samantha was seen in a small role.

This movie had changed Samantha's career besides also being the first movie she paired with her husband, actor Naga Chaitanya. Now on the 11th anniversary of Ye Maya Chesave's release, Samantha has posted a video message thanking Gautham Vasudev Menon.

Samantha shared a video of herself, captioned "#11yearanniversary Thankyou @menongautham for seeing something in me??‍♀️..something that I really didn’t see in myself.. Thankyou @ManjulaOfficial ?? and Thankyou @chay_akkineni ❤️.. and Thankyou to all of you reading this .. you have made me the happiest woman in the world".
