The stylish first look posters of Gautham Vasudev Menon's new film 'Anbuselvan' were released a few days ago. Then Gautham made a shocking statement that he had no idea about the movie and had not even met the director. Later, the movie team released a glimpse video featuring GVM as a cop.
Gautham hasn't clarified the fans directly on the raw footage released by the producer yet. Now, the latest news is that the filmmaker has penned a letter to the Tamil Film Producers Council in this regard. In his letter, GVM stated that he signed and shot for a film with a debutant director but the producer has released the posters with a different director name.
The letter read, "I had only agreed to act in a film titled Vina with newcomer Jai Ganesh and also shot for a few days in 2018. But after that, the film did not progress. Only recently, producer Mahesh asked me to resume shooting for the film with a different director named Vinod Kumar. But I clearly told him that I'm comfortable working only with Jai Ganesh."
Gautham has also urged the Producers Council to withdraw the advertisements of Anbuselvan. Meanwhile, Gautham Vasudev Menon is busy directing Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu with Simbu in the lead role. GVM has essayed cameo roles in Sivakarthikeyan's Don and Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai that are yet to hit the screens.
