After the stupendously successful ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya’ the friendship between Silambarasan and Gautham Menon has strengthened like anything. Gautham gave the biggest break in the career of Silambarasan and Silambarasan on his part did not disappoint Gautham. Their bonding continues even after the film.

That bonding has now led Gautham agreeing to do a special role in Silambarasan’ s ‘Podaa Podi’. When Silambarasan thought of the role the immediate name that came to his mind was Gautham Menon. Silambarasan asked Gautham readily agreed.

Making special appearances in his own films is not new to Gautham, but doing it for others is some thing new for him.
