Gautham Menon spills beans on 'Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu 2' with Kamal Haasan

In 2006, the sensational filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon directed his idol Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and delivered 'Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu,' one of the best serial killer films in Tamil cinema to date. The blockbuster had a re-release last month and gained a superb response from the fans yet again.
Gautham celebrated the success of the Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu re-release by cutting a cake along with music composer Harris Jayaraj and producer Manickam Narayanan. Gautham said in a media interaction, "I have narrated 45 minutes of Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu Part-2 to Kamal sir and he liked it. The script work is done. I will take it to Kamal sir after Dhruva Natchathiram's release. I have penned the story with an opening scene with DCP Raghavan and Royapuram Mani just like the original."

The 2006 film had Kamal as the daring cop Raghavan who hunts down a serial killer duo.
Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu starred Kamal Haasan, Jyothika, Daniel Balaji, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Prakash Raj, Salim Baig and many others. It had music by Harris Jayaraj, cinematography by Ravi Varman and editing by Anthony. While Kamal is expected to reprise his role as Raghavan, we have to wait to see if Jyothika will return to play his wife in the sequel.
