Unconfirmed sources suggest that director Gautham Menon met Superstar Rajinikanth and they have agreed to meet upon to sit for a story narration session. Gautham is expected to meet the Superstar next week to narrate a story.

After the blockbuster 'Kabali', Rajinikanth is presently working on '2.0', the mega budget sci-fi flick directed by Shankar. He is expected to resume shooting for the film very soon.

Gautham is presently busy shooting 'Yenai Nokki Paayum Thotaa' with Superstar's son-in-law Dhanush. He is on the verge of completing 'Achcham Yenbathu Madamayada' with Silambarasan which is expected to hit the screens in September.

Reports suggest that he will do a multi-starrer project after these two films and was also expected to team up with Jayam Ravi for a film.

Even if the news about the meeting between Rajinikanth and Gautham is true, they can be expected to start working together only in the last quarter of 2017 as '2.0' has been scheduled to hit the screens only in October 2017.

But it will be a fantastic combination if it becomes true. Gautham has already directed Kamal Haasan in 'Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu' which was a blockbuster and it is one of his long pending desires to direct the Superstar.
