We broke the news first to you that class filmmaker Gautham Vasuden Menon's son Arya Yohan Menon has made a big impact on debut in the ongoing TNPL 2022. Playing for the Nellai Royal Kings the 19 year old took his first wicket with the very first ball he bowled and later effected a crucial runout with his clever fielding against the Salem Spartans.
Arya Yohan Menon has not only caught the imagination of cricket buffs but also movie buffs especially Thalapathy Vijay fans. It is common knowledge that a spy thriller 'Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru' was announced in the early 2010s with Thalapathy Vijay in the lead and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. Later the project was shelved due to creative differences.
Fans even at that time found the rare name Yohan pretty novel and were wondering how GVM came up with it. Their quest is now answered as the ace filmmaker titled his film after his son. Now the big question is when his magical combo with Vijay will happen and whether 'Yohan : Adhyayam Ondru' will be revived.
GVM has currently completed 'Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu' starring Simbu in the lead and is eyeing an August 2022 release. His other films 'Dhruva Natchathiram' and 'Joshua : Imaipol Kaaka' are also expected to release later this year.
Vijay meanwhile is on a short schedule break of 'Varisu' his next family entertainer directed by Vamshi Paidipally in which he is paired opposte Rashmika Mandanna. He will next star in 'Thalapathy 67' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
