Ace director Gautham Menon's long-pending movie, 'Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha', starring Varun, Raahei and Krishna, is hitting the screens today. During this film's promotional interview, GVM opened his heart about the possibility of a sequel to Simbu's 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu'.

We all know that Gautham and Atman Simbu joined hands once again for the third time in 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' which is the coming-of-age story of a teenager, Muthu, who gets into the crime-filled underworld. The makers had confirmed that it was the first part of a duology. The 2022 film earned a good response and became a super hit.

The first part ended with an exciting sneak peek of Simbu's character turned into a crime lord in North India. However, there haven't been any signs of VTK 2 happening because of the feud between Simbu and Vels Films because of the 'Corona Kumar' problem. In a recent interview, GVM confirmed that the script is under development.

Gautham said, "The full script for Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Part 2 is ready. Jeyamohan sir has completed it and I have given a few inputs. It will be a beautiful journey from Lucknow panning over the next 5 years of Muthu's life. I'm ready but it may materialize only after the issues between Silambarasan and Vels are sorted out."
