Gautham Karthik opens up about 'Agni Natchathiram' remake

Young actor Gautham Karthik met the press today as his 'Rangoon' released this week has elicited positive reviews and doing good business at the box office. Here is what he spoke at the meeting.
"I am very happy to meet you at this very positive moment. 'Rangoon' is my first hit film. If I get good stories and directors my career will flourish. For an actor it is not just enough to act in front of camera. There are lot more to it. I hae completed acting in 'Sippai', 'Ivan Thanthiran' and 'Hara Hara Mahadevki'. Presently shooting for 'Oru Nalla Naal Paathur Solren' with Vijay Sethupathi. "
It is being speculated for long that Gautham will be acting in the Tamil remake of 'Agni Natchathiram' the big hit film of his father Karthik, directed by Mani Ratnam. To a question on that, the young actor said, 'Agni Natchathiram' iis a great film. I will never act in its remake. ,
When asked about his father Karthik, the proud son said, "My father is a legend. I came to know how great he is an actor from the people I meet in shooting spots. My most favourite scene in his film is the scene in which he hands over a credit card in the film 'Gokulathil Seethai'. To me Nagma mam and Revathy mam are the most apt onscreen pairs for my father."
Gautham also had words of praise for his mother who stood by his side whenever he is dejected in life.
Revealing his wedding plans, the 'Kadal' actor said "I have decided to marry between the age of 35 to 40. It will definitely be a love marriage."
Gautham Karthik also said his friends in the industry are his 'Ivan Thandhiran' co-star RJ Balaji, 'Rangoon' director Rajkumar Periyasamy, are his close friends within the industry and he used to discuss the scripts of his films with these two people.
The young actor also assured to be be more cautious in selecting scripts in future.
