Actor Gautham Karthik recently met the press and media persons after the success of his latest release 'Rangooon', The third generation actor from veteran Muthuraman's family, said he never watched films of his grand father Muthuraman and father Karthik as he studied in a British Boarding school were the students will be allowed to watch only English films. He said he got to watch the classics of his grandfather and father only in the recent years.

Regarding rumours regarding his love affair with his 'Muthuramalingam' co-star Priya Anand, the 'Kadal' actor said "Since I studied in a co-education school I get along well with girls as a friend. That has lead to this rumour. Mine will certainly be a love marriage but I am not in love with Priya Anand. I am planning to marry only after 35."
