Actor Gautham Karthik's 'Ivan Thanthiran' has had a good run at the Chennai Box office after the theater owners strike that swallowed crucial four days of its first week.
The film directed and produced by R.Kannan released on June 30 and got positive reviews from critics and audiences. The film had performed very well in Chennai as well as other parts of Tamil Nadu in its first weekend. Then the film was taken off the screens due to the theater owners strike that lasted for four days last week/ With the strike withdrawn, the film was re-released in theaters on July 7th and now it has completed another weekend at the box office with good occupancy and collections.
As far as Chennai box office is concerned, 'Ivan Thanthiran' was running in 18 screens across the city and had 174 shows in the three day weekend. With that the film has collected Rs.46,75,098 with 85% occupancy on an average.
The trade feels that the film holds on very well and it promises to become a hit venture if it retains the momentum in the coming days and completes another successful weekend.
